Albie – A Complete Campervan Transformation

When Scott first brought Albie to Grizzly HQ, he was honest with us – he simply wasn't happy with the van's original conversion.

And, admittedly, Albie was in need of a little TLC!

After chatting through exactly what Scott wanted from his camper and how he planned to use the van, it quickly became clear that this wasn't going to be a case of making a few small changes. So, we stripped Albie back and started again, giving this camper a complete transformation from the inside out.

Starting Again From Scratch

With the original conversion removed, we were able to rebuild Albie properly, starting with fresh insulation and professional carpet lining throughout to create a warm, comfortable and beautifully finished interior.

Vanshades were fitted to give a clean, modern finish around the windows, as well as providing the privacy and practicality needed when travelling and camping.

Custom Built Around Scott

One of the standout features of Albie's new conversion has to be the bespoke long and low cabinetry, designed and custom made specifically for Scott.

The low-level design creates a fantastic feeling of space inside the van while still offering plenty of practical storage. The cabinetry features a beautifully fitted undermount sink paired with a gorgeous black freestanding tap, an induction hob, Dometic fridge and cleverly integrated pop-up sockets.

Every detail was carefully considered to create a camper that not only looks fantastic but genuinely works for Scott and the way he wants to travel.

Ready to Go Off Grid

Scott wanted the freedom to travel without always relying on campsites and electric hook-up, so Albie was fitted with a comprehensive off-grid electrical system.

The electrics and lighting are controlled through the Savvy Van system, giving Scott an easy and modern way to manage the camper's electrical setup and lighting.

Versatility With Mobiframe

To finish the build, Scott opted for the Mobiframe floor system with a three-seater bed, giving Albie fantastic versatility.

The rail system allows the bed to be positioned to suit how the van is being used, creating a practical space for travelling, camping and everyday adventures.

A New Chapter for Albie

From a camper that Scott simply wasn't happy with to a completely bespoke conversion designed around him, Albie has been given a whole new lease of life.
