Designed and built by experienced VW campervan specialists, Harvey is a bespoke VW T6.1 campervan that perfectly showcases what we love most about custom conversions — bold design choices, thoughtful layouts, and premium craftsmanship throughout.
Finished in a Pure Grey with a couple of petrol accents, Harvey balances standout road presence with timeless class, making him just as comfortable parked up at a campsite as she is cruising down the motorway.
Harvey – A Truly Special Build
‘Harvey’ was lovingly crafted for the wonderful Irene & Ade — a couple we thoroughly enjoyed working with from start to finish. Builds like this are what make Grizzly Customs Vans so rewarding, and it’s been a real pleasure staying connected ever since, following their adventures and receiving the brilliant photos they continue to share with us.
This conversion strikes a perfect balance between style, comfort, and smart functionality. Irene & Ade made some standout choices that really set Harvey apart.
The interior features our custom-built cabinetry finished in a stunning petrol colour, giving the van a rich, modern feel. Rather than opting for a pop-top, they chose a beautifully finished suede-lined headliner, complete with subtle mini LED lighting. The result is a clean, cosy space with a premium feel throughout.
Both the front and rear RIB beds were reupholstered in a durable dark grey vinyl, finished with a petrol blue stitch detail — tying everything together with a sleek, cohesive look.
Functionality was just as important as aesthetics. A cleverly integrated E-grille hook-up is discreetly hidden behind the VW badge on the front grille — a smart and seamless solution. They also upgraded to Vanshades throughout, enhancing both privacy and style, while the Smart Van system gives them full control over their electrics at the touch of a button.
Harvey is a fantastic example of a personalised build that reflects both the lifestyle and taste of its owners — and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
