Introducing “Joan” – A custom Camper VW T6.1

Introducing Joan, our latest bespoke conversion for a truly lovely couple, lovingly named in honour of Grandma Joan. Built on a striking VW T6.1 finished in Ravenna Blue, this van is the perfect blend of classic warmth and modern adventure — a real head-turner with substance to match its style.

Inside, Joan features our signature custom slimline cabinetry, designed to maximise space without compromising on practicality or aesthetics. The kitchen setup is both sleek and functional, complete with an undermounted sink, freestanding tap, induction hob, and a Dometic fridge that’s (very importantly) big enough to chill a bottle of wine.

To the rear, an oak tambour door ties in beautifully with the solid oak worktop and table, adding warmth, texture, and a premium finish throughout the living space.

For sleeping, we’ve fitted a Westdubs pop-top with Scenic Canvas, flooding the space with light and views. The laminated bed board paired with a self-inflating mattress ensures a comfortable night’s sleep wherever the road takes you.

Lighting and electrics are where the finer details really shine ✨
Joan is equipped with USB charging points, reading lights, spotlights around the pop-top, plus two additional lights on the tailgate. There’s even an internal push-button tailgate release — because it’s always about the little things.

Underfoot, we’ve installed the Mobiframe floor and bed system, finished in stunning Jacobean Oak. The versatility of this system is unmatched — honestly, we couldn’t recommend it enough — making it ideal for everyday use as well as full-blown adventures.

For sound, Joan benefits from Pioneer speakers fitted in the rear corner and rear locker, creating an immersive, surround-sound feel whether you’re parked up or on the move.

Comfort is guaranteed year-round thanks to a Webasto diesel heater, keeping things warm and cosy on winter nights, while a roof-mounted solar panel ensures you stay powered up during those off-grid adventures.

Rounding things off, we’ve added a Fiamma F45s awning for extra outdoor living space, and finished the van with Vanshades, adding privacy, insulation, and that final touch of style.

Joan is more than just a camper — she’s a heartfelt, beautifully crafted home on wheels, built for comfort, connection, and countless memories ahead.
